Inside a murdered out row house in Washington's tony Georgetown neighborhood, sits an unlikely addition to DC's retail scene: Rag & Bone. So what brought the brand to the nation's capital for their first domestic shop outside of New York (they have a shop in Tokyo)? "Aesthetically we think that our clothes will be desirable here, we like the fact that it's four seasons—there's a transition between spring and fall—it's a very European sensibility." says one half of the label, designer David Neville, who also found himself entranced by the unique composition of the building. "It's beautiful, the architecture inside is really awesome, it's got these really impactful steel structures that go all the way to the roof. That was really what sealed the deal." Combining exposed brick with steel, twine-entangled lighting fixtures, and an odd plant or two, the store's marriage of the rustic and refined will ring true to many of the label's longtime followers. When Valet stopped by to check out the new digs, we asked the shop's staff to pick out their favorite pieces of the season.
