For our second installment of Wants & Needs, we had the pleasure of picking Nick Wooster's brain. Mr. Wooster was formerly the Men's Fashion Director for Neiman Marcus Group Services, where he directed the menswear merchants at Neiman Marcus Stores, Neiman Marcus Direct, and Bergdorf Goodman. A menswear vet with tours of duty at Calvin, Ralph and Barneys, he also happens to be something of a modern style icon. For those of you who haunt "inspiration" Tumblrs and photo blogs, you probably recognize Nick as the impeccably dressed gentleman with the grey beard and the bold style to which most of us can only aspire ...(or at least reblog the picture). Bottom line, the man knows his way around a pair of mustard yellow wingtips, patchwork three piece suit and killer mustache.
It's the finishing touch to any tie. I like how the diminutive size punctuates a tie—doesn't overpower it. It's just a little bit off—like me.
My apartment is painted in three shades of grey. Hardwick White [No. 5] Down Pipe [No. 26] and Off-Black [No.57]
My favorite wing tip in the world. The look is sturdy, refined and polished with a hint of the 1930's. Very English, very proper—totally cool.
I can't get out of the shower without using it ... otherwise it's cat whiskers for me.
For me, these visvim sneaker-moccasins are the coolest shoes ever invented. I call them sneakasins.
