Pocket Tee Spectrum

Maybe it's the transitional weather or maybe it's simply because they haven't been easy to track down, but lately we've been hunting for the perfect pocket T-shirt. Soft and durable, with a retro fit akin to Brando's back in the day. Herewith, five of the best we've tried.

The only v-neck, this cotton/poly blend has a nice stretch and slightly longer sleeves.

J.Crew, $32

Washed for softness and cut from a textured slub cotton, it has a genuine lived-in feel.

James Perse, $60

Cut from a heavier sueded cotton jersey fabric, this extra-soft shirt has a generous fit.

Cut from Egyptian cotton with a retro fit and feel you'd expect from a century-old brand.

From the archives—fitted in the shoulders with a slim, relaxed body and a wider crewneck.
