Herschel Supply Co. is a brand that respects the past. Founded in the early 1900s, the company was started by a barrel maker from Scotland who migrated to Canada and set up shop in the small town of Herschel. A century later, they're no longer making barrels, but it remains a family business focused on heritage. Today, the founder's great grandchildren are running the show, crafting some handsome bags inspired by traditional mountaineering packs with a dash of classic Americana. And while the style has a nice retro appeal, the packs themselves are updated for today with streamlined shapes, a more comfortable fit and techno touches like laptop sleeves and internal iPod pockets with headphone ports.
