When it comes to classics, a grey crewneck sweatshirt is about as utilitarian as they come. Throw it on over a T-shirt. Layer it on top of a rumpled oxford shirt. Or under your topcoat, and suddenly you're pulled-together, looking smart but not overly styled. You can get them anywhere these days. And we do mean anywhere. But that doesn't mean that the better ones don't catch our attention. Rugby's newest version has a slim, retro cut with raglan sleeves but it's what's on the inside that's important. The sweatshirt is fleece on one side and a soft waffle knit thermal on the other side. What's more, the lightweight linen-cotton blend is a better (read: breathable) option come spring. Personally, I like it inside out, with the contrasting cuffs and stitches. It's how I've worn other sweatshirts in the past and with this one, old people won't stop me and alert me that my tag's showing.
