"I really liked the idea of wearing your classic oxford shirt as neckwear," says designer David Hart, whose spring collection of ties hits stores in the coming weeks. "The material adds that extra dimension and feels a bit more refreshing than the basic seersucker or madras tie." Cut from Thomas Mason shirting material, the bow ties give you the option of wearing them pressed and polished to the office or wrinkled and rumpled for a summer weekend wedding. Hart's favorite tie for spring is the racer necktie, inspired by vintage Monaco racing posters. "I've always been a fan of the ties from the 1940s with great scenic prints on them, and I mixed that with a classic repp stripe." Gentlemen, start your engines.
