Cotton jacket, $150
Workwear vest, $90
Shirt, $100
You likely know of Alternative Apparel, maker of one of the most affordable and comfortable sweatshirts around and those burnout T-shirts you see celebs sporting all the time. But the company's growing up and branching into some new territory this fall, with a limited edition collection of goods inspired by the Dust Bowl-era. "It's a nod to the well-loved, well worn clothing of our past," says Alternative's founder Greg Alterman. Fusing American nationalism with Japanese design influences, the line of sturdy cotton and wool pieces comes in muted colors with minimal, but interesting detailing. For those fans of Woolrich Woolen Mills or Engineered Garments, this is certainly an affordable alternative.
