Woolrich 3.0

For a 178-year-old Pennsylvania-based company, Woolrich sure does get around. First, there was the namesake brand of outdoor gear and then Woolrich Woolen Mills, designed by Daiki Suzuki. Now the company's third iteration, Woolrich John Rich & Bros., mixes that hearty, blue-collar history with the light touch of Italian tailors. After a successful run in Europe, the line has now come to the States, launching with a collection that's urbane yet pays homage to the company John Rich started by selling wool socks and jackets to lumber camps around Pittsburgh. Of course, back then, they weren't cashmere.

  • It's believed that Woolrich was the first company to use a zipper in men's pants.
